Crew Manager

Promarine is a dynamic and forward-thinking company with decades of operational excellence in the maritime industry. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Crew Manager to join its Crew Department.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select and manage Greek seafarers in collaboration with the Company’s Management.
  • Coordinate and oversee all crew onboarding and offboarding procedures (sign-on/sign-off).
  • Communicate scheduled crew changes to tugboats, crew members and internal departments.
  • Ensure adequate manning of the fleet and manage crew allocation based on operational requirements.
  • Monitor monthly crew movements and coordinate with the Payroll Department.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of crew records and compliance with the applicable Greek maritime legislation.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities, including NAT, Port Authorities and other governmental bodies, regarding crew-related matters.
  • Review employment contracts, certificates and all required documentation for Greek crew members.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of the ERP system in collaboration with the Crew Assistant.
  • Coordinate crew arrivals and departures from the shipyard.
  • Coordinate vessel maintenance planning in collaboration with the Fleet Captain, Chief Engineer and Technical Department.
  • Respond to operational crew-related issues and emergencies whenever required.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Crew Management, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or coordinating role.
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek crew management procedures, including sign-on/sign-off processes and relevant maritime legislation.
  • Experience liaising with NAT, Port Authorities and other maritime authorities.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a Tug Master (Captain) will be considered an asset.
