Latsco Shipping Ltd., located in the northern suburbs of Athens is looking to recruit a Spares & Supply Officer, reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Execute purchasing activities for supplies, spare parts, and services in line with company procedures.
• Support the negotiation and evaluation of contract agreements to ensure cost efficiency.
• Prepare and process purchase orders & invoices, taking into account price, quality, availability, supplier reliability, and technical specifications.
• Monitor the purchasing process to ensure timely delivery and proper completion of all supply chain steps on board.
• Coordinate with the Provisions Officer and Lubricants & Chemicals Officer to support efficient delivery planning and consolidation.
• Maintain supplier evaluation records and contribute to ongoing supplier performance monitoring.
• Assist in applying supplier selection criteria and procurement standards during the purchasing process.
• Support the Purchasing Manager by collecting data from internal systems, tracking performance against targets, and preparing periodic reports with quantitative and qualitative data.
• Participate in ad hoc departmental projects including bulk supplies, dry-dock preparation etc.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• BSc degree in a related field, preferably in Technical University / Shipping
• At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant position
• Experience of working in either Tankers or Gas carriers will be required
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office Programs
• Knowledge of SAP ERP system will be considered a plus
• Knowledge of Sertica PMS will be considered a plus
• Fluency in both written and oral communication in English
• Analytical skills, Problem solving, Customer focus, Proactive approach, Collaborative mindset.
