KYKLADES MARITIME CORPORATION seeks to employ a full-time Technical Superintendent, who will be responsible for the technical operation & up-keeping of a fleet of 4 – 5 tanker vessels.

The successful candidate will oversee an assigned fleet of tanker vessels to ensure their technical systems operate safely and efficiently, in line with the Company’s procedures, Maritime Rules & Regulations, and Industry Standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Monitoring the technical operation and performance of assigned vessels to maintain an up-to-date understanding of their condition, including machinery performance, maintenance status, and operational reliability
• Managing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) of assigned vessels to ensure maintenance routines remain current, effective, and aligned with company and statutory requirements
• Coordinating the identification, investigation, and resolution of mechanical defects, ensuring timely corrective actions, physical attendance when required, and permanent repair by shipboard personnel or contractors
• Planning, developing, and managing repair works and modifications, and directing contractors during repairs and dry-dockings, ensuring works are technically sound, safely executed, and applied fleet-wide when relevant
• Conducting vessel inspections and audits, and developing corrective action plans to verify compliance with maintenance programs and technical procedures
• Monitoring Class and Flag requirements and arranging statutory and class surveys to ensure continued compliance of assigned vessels
• Reviewing and verifying purchase orders for spares, stores, lubricants, chemicals, and gases to ensure technical accuracy, suitability, and alignment with vessel requirements
• Monitoring the timely and efficient supply of technical spares and consumables in coordination with the Procurement Department to support safe and uninterrupted vessel operation
• Preparing dry-docking specifications and attending dry-docking activities as lead superintendent, ensuring all works are executed effectively, safely, and within the agreed scope
• Providing technical guidance and training support to shipboard personnel, including briefings and debriefings with engine officers
• Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of the OPEX budget for assigned vessels

Requirements

Eligible candidates should meet the following requirements:

• University Degree in Engineering or Chief Engineer Certificate, with 1 year of Seagoing experience as Chief Engineer
• 3 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent
• Experience in dry dock preparation and attendance
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
• Good computer literacy
• Medical Fitness
• Ability to travel on an average of 60 -90 days per year
