The Tsakos Group traces its origins deep in the passage of time, well beyond its over half a century continuous activity and growth in shipping. Tsakos Shipping and Trading S.A., established in 1972, was the first of the companies to comprise what is now known as the “Tsakos Group of Companies”. Over the ensuing years, the Group established a number of affiliated and associated companies around the globe significantly expanding its shipping activities and world-wide operational capability while building a reputation of solid performance in rendering reliable and trustworthy maritime transport services.

Tsakos Group affiliate companies presently own and manage a diverse fleet of 99 modern Tanker, LNG, Container and Dry cargo vessels with an aggregate dwt capacity of 10 million dwt. Tsakos Energy Navigation (TEN) Ltd, is one of the oldest and most reputable publicly listed shipping companies trading in NYSE with an exceptional record of growth since the Company’s inception.

Tsakos Columbia Shipmanagement (“TCM”) S.A. and Tsakos Conbulk Services (“TCB”) the ship management arms of the Group provide technical management, along with operational and crewing services, to a diversified fleet of 85 modern vessels comprising modern tankers, container and dry cargo ships. Our clientele are the largest and most reputable global charterers and our operational standards are one of the highest in the industry.

Annually more than 130 Greek competent, skilled and highly committed cadets are screened and deployed on our fleet under advanced cadetship training programs. Presently we take pride that more than 100 Senior Greek Officers are serving currently onboard our fleet, who have commenced their careers as cadets with us and now hold the most senior positions onboard our fleet.
