Velos Tankers, a dynamic shipping company, is seeking for an IT Officer to support to support its global operations, reporting to the IT Manager. The role involves providing technical support to both shore-based teams and vessel crews, managing desktops, servers, networks, and software systems. You will also attend vessels to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot IT, network, and SatCom equipment, working closely with third-party vendors to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate holds a degree in IT or a related field, has min 3 years of experience in a similar IT role within the shipping industry, and is skilled in troubleshooting shore-based & vessel IT networks. Strong communication skills, fluency in English, a proactive mindset, and willingness to travel are essential.
