Job Description
The Accountant in the Revenue & Consolidations section supports revenue and voyage expense accounting and month‑end closing activities, including postings, reconciliations, payments, and receivables’ handling. The role contributes to voyage performance reporting and assists in the preparation of regular and ad hoc financial reports. It also supports the external audit process and contributes to the preparation of consolidated financial statements, while assisting in the automation of manual processes.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in accounting, audit, or financial analysis, ideally in a top‑tier audit or consulting firm and/or in the Accounting department of a ship management company
• University degree (BSc and preferably also MSc) in Accounting & Finance
• Good accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements, combined with proven experience in reconciliations and closing processes
• Strong familiarity with ERP and accounting IT tools; experience with SAP will be considered a strong asset
• Excellent PC literacy, advanced user of MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Curious, analytical mindset with willingness to learn beyond traditional accounting. Able to understand databases, comfortable with data visualisation tools. Basic programming/automation literacy (e.g., SQL / VBA / similar) is also valued.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite
