CAPITAL SHIP MANAGEMENT CORP. a leading ship management company specializing in tanker operations, is seeking a motivated HSQE Superintendent to join its Piraeus office!

You will report to the HSQE Manager and help make sure our Integrated Management System keeps our fleet and office safe, compliant while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and carry out IMS internal audits on board and in the office, and follow every finding through to close-out
• Coordinate external audits and verifications (ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 50001) and arrange Flag Administration inspections
• Keep audit records, certificates and the IMS Library up to date, and handle communication with Flag and third parties
• Monitor and review the reports vessels send in: safety meetings, near misses, drills, risk assessments, training records
• Take part in accident and injury investigations and risk assessment reviews, and track corrective and preventive actions and Management of Change
• Handle document control for oil pollution plans (SOPEP, SMPEP, VRP, NTVRP) together with the DPA, and take part in table-top exercises
• Brief, familiarize and train shipboard personnel, both ashore and on board
• Handle MLC and OH&S matters, including health campaigns, first aid statistics and the OCIMF injury indexes (TRCF, LTIF), and act as Office Safety Officer under ISO 45001

Key Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the field; seagoing experience is a strong plus
• Internal Auditor certificates for ISM, ISPS, MLC 2006, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Training in Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation
• Excellent written and spoken English, and strong writing skills for developing manuals and forms
• Good organizational, communication and computer skills
