Dorian LPG Management Corp., a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company and a leading operator of modern very large gas carriers, is seeking to employ an experienced and qualified Vetting Coordinator.

The candidate will join the Marine Operations Department, promoting safety and achieving the Department’s stated principles and objectives.

The position includes assisting in all processes related to inspection reports, under the guidance of the Marine Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate should hold an Undergraduate Maritime studies certificate or adequate seagoing experience and have 1–3 years of relevant professional experience.

Vetting Coordinator’s key responsibilities :

  • Coordinates and supports in all duties related to the vetting function as instructed by the Marine Operations Manager
  • Following up the plan of Vessel Inspections as instructed by the Marine Operations Manager.
  • Assists in all processes related to inspection reports and their corresponding corrective/preventive actions as instructed by the Marine Operations Manager
  • Ensure all vetting observations (SIRE & CDI), defects and outstanding repair items are tracked and satisfactorily closed as soon as possible and inform Marine Operations Manager.
  • Assists in monitoring databases & maintains the Office library as instructed by the Marine Operations Manager
  • Handling of Sire and Terminal questionnaires (Q88, HVPQ etc.) as instructed by the Marine Operations Manager
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company’s safety, health, environmental and quality initiatives.
  • Update HVPQs or other questionnaires on OCIMF SIRE, CDI and Q88.com databases upon every change.

Excellent English skills, along with advanced computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
