ASTRA SHIPMANAGEMENT INC., Voula, seeks for an experienced Marine-HSQE Superintendent for our Tanker fleet at our offices in Voula, Attiki.
Minimum qualifications:
- Captain or minimum 3 years experience as Chief Officer
- 5 years experience in tankers – product vessels. Experience in chemical vessels will be considered an asset.
- Shore based experience in a similar role will be preferred
- Strong knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MLC, OCIMF TMSA 3, SIRE 2.0, ISGOTT, Navigational best practices.
- Ability to lead investigations, audits, and shipboard training
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and computer literacy
- Ability to travel
- Internal auditor, CSO certification an advantage
Role description:
As a Tanker Marine-HSQE Superintendent at Astra, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, compliant, and environmentally responsible operations onboard ASTRA’s MR Tanker fleet, in accordance with the Company’s IMS, applicable international regulations, and industry best practices. Key activities include:
- Ensure vessel compliance with ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, STCW, MLC and Company IMS.
- Conduct onboard Internal audits, Navigation audits/assessments, and Marine inspections.
- Monitor and verify risk assessments and safe work practices during key operations.
- Prepare vessels for SIRE 2.0, PSC, Terminal, Flag, and 3rd party inspections and support Masters during such inspections.
