
DNV – DryBMS awareness and preparation to achieve excellence

Objective:
An 8-hour course that that provides participants with the knowledge, understanding and framework on how to assess their management systems against the standard and carrying out continual improvement to meet the higher stages.
About the course/Aim:
The DryBMS is an independent standard designed by RightShip and INTERCARGO for the dry bulk shipping sector. The expectations are based on legislative requirements and current industry recommendations and practices.
The aim of the course is to further increase the knowledge and understanding on the standard’s expectations and targets.
The course is delivered in cooperation with Prevention at Sea Group.
Emphasis will be given on:
- DryBMS scope and background
- Analysis of the DryBMS structure
- Guidance on the requirements of each Subject Area
- DryBMS scoring system for the four (4) levels of compliance
- Self-assessment process
- Examples of objective evidence to record compliance
- Gap Analysis Activities
Target Group: The course is designated for shipping companies, technical managers, designated persons, shore staff involved in the continuous improvement of the company’s management system.
Teaching Method: Lecture, Discussion, Interaction among participants, case exercises.
