Well established and reputable Shipping Company in the north suburbs of Athens managing a fleet of Oil / Chemical Tankers and LPG Carriers is looking to recruit a Marine Superintendent.
Position Requirements
• Responsible for all Marine aspects AND Navigation Standards / procedures of Company’s vessels, and providing deck officers with assistance and guidance.
• Responsible for all mooring, safety and other operational activities on-board including drills, monitoring compliance of operations and addressing all related safety and operational aspects
• Responsible for conducting dedicated Real Time Navigation audits for identifying areas for improving the company’s navigational standards, by applying suitable controls.
• Monitoring all the overdue works produced by the e-PMS giving instructions to the Master for compliance
• Preparing operating budgets and monthly report on vessel’s budgeted and actual expenditure, and advising the ships under their control
• Working closely with Purchasing Dept for the timely supply of materials and services belonging within the frame of Marine Department’s activities
• Acting as Navigation and Safety Superintendent having for the effective training and familiarization of deck officers and crew with ECDIS on-board.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Master’s License
• 1 to 3 years’ experience of working in the office in a relevant position
• Experience of having served as Master for about 2 years
• Experience of two types of vessels is required as per our company’s fleet
• Ability to speak/write English fluently
• IT system literacy
• Problem solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure
